Polaris Afterschool Yoga & Craft Camp (Feb 2024)

Meeting Times: Wednesday Feb 7th and Feb 28th from 12:45-3:15 PM

Would you like your child to learn simple relaxation techniques to help calm the body and manage strong feelings? Or practice positive thinking to help gain confidence in their abilities? How about learning physical exercises that increase attention and self control? Or even developing community and experiencing support in a group with opportunities to both lead and follow?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, this after-school camp is for your kiddo!! We will be utilizing the 8 limbs of yoga through yoga poses, outdoor play, fun social-emotional learning games, sustainable crafts, reading aloud and individually, taking time for a snack, and enjoying a short reflective period.

This is a TWO week long class that will take place on Wednesdays at Polaris from 12:45 (early release time)- 3:15. The first date is Feb 7th and the second day is Feb 28th.  It is open to 5-13 year olds. Every camp we offer is different and geared toward the ages of kids that are registered. Older campers will have the opportunity, if they desire, to practice leadership in assistant roles throughout each class. Students should wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle, snacks, and a book or journal. 

The goal is to be outside most or all of the time. However, we are offish renting a room this year, so we will have access to an indoor space at all times! Rain gear, warm clothing, sunscreen and a sun hat are recommended for outdoor time. We will have outdoor time in almost ALL weather. Yoga mats and props will be provided. A snack is provided! All snacks are gluten free, please let me know any other intolerances/allergies I can accommodate. 

***The suggested price is $50 (or $45/child when registering more than one child per family). When registering your child, please choose an amount that works for your family. We are a Pay-It forward donation studio, which means will accept any student regardless of abilty to pay. If there is space, no child will be turned away. Offering lower or no cost health and wellness events to everyone helps stengthen our community as a whole. When you generously pay-it-forward through your donation ABOVE the suggested full price of $50, you are a direct part of that strengthening. If you wish to pay by cash or check, please use the email below to arrange registration and payment. If you register online you will immediately receive a confirmation email. Everyone, regardless of how you registered, will receive another email a few days before camp starts, detailing day-of-camp information.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Fees will be refunded if cancellation is made THREE (3) weeks prior to the program start. In all cases a 15% administrative fee will be retained.
